Did you ever receive an offer to build a mobile app but had to decline because you didn't have the knowledge in the needed programming languages? Well, maybe now you do have the required skills. In his talk on NativePHP Mobile, David Beentjes (12+ years of WordPress development experience and co-owner of Unloc) shares his insights from building an Android and iOS app in the same programming language WordPress is written in: PHP. Based on a real-world app, he showcases the possibilities that NativePHP unlocks for WP builders and how an app can be integrated with an existing WordPress site for authentication, content management, or whatever else you can think of.
Daniele Besana established WP-OK. In 2023, together with his wife Hanny, he acquired a 6-figure webshop at cafe-analog.nl. Coming from years of supporting ecommerce clients, running a store firsthand gave him an entirely new perspective on the real challenges behind a WooCommerce business.
In this talk, Daniele shares the lessons learned after taking over an existing webshop: what they improved, what surprised them, what mistakes they made, and the many non-technical aspects such as logistics, suppliers, inventory, and (some) marketing.
This is not a technical WooCommerce talk, but a practical and honest look at what it really means to run an online store: the good, the bad and the ugly.

Robert Abela is the CEO and Founder of Melapress, developers of security and user-management plugins for WordPress, including WP Activity Log, WP 2FA, Melapress Login Security, and Melapress Role Editor. With more than 20 years of experience in software development businesses and web application security, Robert previously worked at GFI Software, Acunetix, 3CX, Netsparker, and other security software companies in roles spanning systems engineering, R&D, and product management. Today, Melapress plugins are active on more than half a million websites, helping businesses and organizations of all sizes strengthen their WordPress security posture and simplify user management.
While much of the focus in WordPress security is on website hardening measures, the reality is that users often represent the weakest link in the chain. Even with the best firewalls and security tools, your website remains vulnerable if users are not equipped to play their part. In this session, I demonstrate how a small selection of free WordPress plugins and complementary tools can be used to implement practical, user-focused security measures. Attendees will learn how to support their users in adopting secure practices, ultimately helping to protect both user accounts and the wider website environment.

20:15 Monique Dubbelman: Deploying for dummies
20:45 Open Call

Simon Janssen joined Digishock/WebsiteNazorg.nl four years ago. He helped spin off the web development and support departments, and with the latter he experimented with new business models. Two years ago, Simon set out on a journey to transform his company from an “hours factory” into a “value factory.”
No more endless debates about billable hours, project overruns, or whether to charge clients for unexpected extra time. The result? A calmer workplace where employees and clients alike know what to expect, and where quality can truly flourish. In this talk, Simon shares his ongoing journey, with all its ups and downs, in the hope of inspiring web designers, agencies, and freelancers alike, and to move beyond the billable hour and build organizations where value and clarity take center stage.
Monique Dubbelman has been active in the WordPress Community, but currently works in a different field. In her presentation "Deploying for dummies: How I got my WordPress site online for free without understanding what I was doing" she'll take you through her messy journey from WordPress to static hosting
Spoiler alert: she still don't know what a pull request is, but her site is live. And yes, she asked AI for help because she was stuck.
Don't expect a smooth story where everything works first time. Instead, expect: honest mistakes, confusing moments with Simply Static, GitHub, and Visual Studio Code, and proof that you don't need to understand everything to make it work. Perfect for anyone who's also secretly bluffing their way through developer land.
Bonus: learn from her biggest mistake (document everything you do!).

When Rian retired from her consultancy work, she thought it would be a fun project to take on: managing a much needed open source project for the WordPress community. In this talk, she will share her ongoing journey from idea to outcome. The lessons she learns, the challenges she faces, and the support she receives along the way.
